Texans Head to New York To Get Same-Sex Marriages

The news is awash with legalization of same-sex marriages in New York state.

In an article from the Houston Chronicle, gays and lesbians are headed to the Empire State to get hitched.

The only thing is such marriages are not recognized in Texas.

I really do not care what two consenting adults to behind closed doors, this is just another case of the government granting creditability to something that the majority of Americans are against.

Marriage is and always has been a union between a man and a woman.

If two people want to "hook up," then that is none of my business, but this decision in New York is wrong.

There are no two ways around it.

I read a comment posted on a story in the Houston Chronicle about the repeat of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

Special Dorm for Gays at TCU

Eight students have signed up for Texas Christian University’s designated on-campus housing for gay students and their supporters, in what may be the only such college housing in North Texas.

The DiversCity Q community will open in the fall in a section of the Tom Brown-Pete Wright apartments. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender students and allies — heterosexual classmates who support them — will have the chance to live together, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported.

What in the HELL are they thinking. A special on-campus hosting based on sexual preference? That is CRAZY, especially at a Christian school.

What will come next? A special dorm for those who are into S&M or possible bestiality?

I think they are opening a whole can of worms that will create more problem that they deal with.

Hallmark Recognizes Gay Marriage

Most states (and most people) do not recognize gay marriage -- but now Hallmark does.

The nation's largest greeting card company is rolling out same-sex wedding cards -- featuring two tuxedos, overlapping hearts or intertwined flowers, with best wishes inside. "Two hearts. One promise," one says.

I guess I will not be buying cards by Hallmark anymore!!!
