Saddam Hussein Buried

Thousands of Iraqis went to Saddam Hussein’s hometown of Ouja yesterday, where the deposed leader was buried in a religious compound 24 hours after his execution.

I don't understand why anyone would allow him to be buried in a place where his supporters can go, pray over the body, and be used as a rallying points for more radicals to plot, conspire, and generally plan to take back over the country.

This is totally rediculous. Even the Russians burned and disposed of Hitler's body in an unknown location.

Mark my words....his burial in a public place is going to come back to haunt ALL involved.

Cindy Sheehan Arrested At Bush Ranch

Antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan was arrested yesterday outside President George W. Bush's Texas home for allegedly blocking the road leading to the Crawford ranch.

She and four other protesters were arersted after refusing police requests to move. The group was booked into the McLennan County Sheriff's Office jail.

The protesters were each charged with obstructing a highway, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum of six months in prison and a $2000 fine.

Will this woman ever give up? She is still a nut case, will be a nut case in the future, and will probably be a nut case when this is all over.

I still wonder, HOW DOES SHE GET THE MONEY TO DO ALL OF THIS?

I, like most people, have to work to support myself and my family.

News Agency's Coverage: Saddam's Execution

9:19pm CST: CNN's Anderson Cooper has stated that the execution has not been confirmed.

9:20pm CST: Fox News' Gretta Van Susteren is interviewing Saddam's attorney. He is trying to defend Saddam.

9:22pm CST: Headline News' Nancy Grace is doing a story on Laci Peterson. I guest she missed this story.

9:24pm CST: The three major networks, NBC, CBS, and ABC have not cut into their regular programing to announce his execution. I may have missed them cutting in or running a scroll at the bottom of the screen. However, if they didn't announce it, I wouldn't be surprised.

9:27pm CST: Anderson Cooper states that Arab language media reports he has been executed. He further stated if they receive images of the execution, they would determine and edit them if they feel they are too graphic.

Isn't that interesting. This is from the same news agency that felt it was appropriate to air video of an American solider being killed by a sniper in Iraq. I guess images of Saddam's execution might be disturbing but images of an American solider being killed was not.

I always knew that CNN meant "Clinton News Network." I guess they continue to take the liberal, anti-American standing on most things.

SADDAM HUSSEIN HAS BEEN EXECUTED!!!!!!

6:08am Saturday, December 30, 2006 in Baghdad
9:08pm Friday, December 29, 2006 in Texas

This evil bastard is going the same way as Tojo, Jodl, Mussolini, and to a further extend, Goering, Hitler, and his equally evil sons Uday and Qusay.

The world will be a better place without him. Whether he actually had "weapons of mass distruction" or not is inconsequential. He needed to be overthrown and disposed of.

ON A SIDE NOTE: Some would have you believe he didn't have WMDs. That is a "CROCK." Of course he had them. I believe he had them sent out of the country before the invasion. Any one who doesn't believe that probably thinks that John Kerry actually won three purple hearts in 72 days while in Vietnam.

I hope they burn the body and dispose of the remains in an unknown location. The world does not need a burial site that could serve as a monument to this maniac.

Des Moines, Iowa TV Poll: Democratic and Republican Favorites

KCCI-TV in Des Moines, Iowa released this past Thursday the results of The Research 2000 Iowa Poll, which was conducted from Dec. 18-20, 2006

The poll consisted of telephone interviews of 600 likely Iowa voters and has a margin of error of no more than plus or minus 4 percentage points and asked Iowa Democrats which candidates they would vote for if the 2008 Democratic Caucus were held today.

The top four results were as follows:
Sen. John Edwards-22%
U.S. Sen. Barrack Obama-22%
Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack-12%
U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton-10%

If the 2008 Republican Caucus were held today, Iowa Republicans polled gave the following results:
U.S. Sen. John McCain-27%
Republican Rudy Guiliani-26%
Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney-9%

Perhaps Hillary doesn't have the support she thinlks she does. Remember, the Iowa Caucus is an early idea of what may happen in the real election.

Bus Driver Can Keep Hat!

This is a story from Fox 26 televison in Balitmore, Maryland.

A Santa hat-wearing school bus driver on Long Island, N.Y., has won the right to keep wearing his festive headgear, Newsday reported.

Kenneth Mott, who keeps a long, white beard, almost lost his job after a parent called the bus management to complain. Mott, who has worn the red and white hat every Christmas since he started with the Bauman & Sons bus company five years ago, was ordered to stop wearing the hat because a child didn't believe in Santa Claus and was bothered by the hat.

"I said, 'What, are you kidding me?'" Mott recalled. "I thought it was a big joke," Newsday reported.

However, after Mott told other parents he might be fired for wearing the hat, supervisors changed their stance and said he could continue to wear the hat.

My question is, who in the hell does this parent think he/she is? I would LOVE to meet this parent and give them a piece of my mind. Just because your child doesn’t believe in Santa Claus, that does not give you the right to dictate demands to others.

You can bet this parent was a tree hugging, low life liberal.

This is another example of a person/people/company being dumber than dirt!!!

To Katie Couric: I Told You So!!!!!

Katie Couric says the job of anchoring the "CBS Evening News” is "a little harder than I thought it would be.”

In an interview for the January issue of Esquire magazine, Couric also says she feels "in a bit of a box,” and complains that "some people out there are rooting for me to fail.”

Couric noted that Esquire itself criticized her after her September debut: "You guys even take a shot at me. You have something in the November issue, something about how since I’ve become an anchor you don’t know me anymore. You don’t know me anymore? Bite me.”

Couric – who has fallen to the No. 3 spot in the night news game behind ABC and NBC also declared: "Oh my God, I’m so boring.”

Texas Truth stated when she became the anchor that she couldn't cut it. I guess she was a bit slower in figuring it out that most of the people in the country.

Miss USA Keeps Crown

Donald Trump, who owns the rights to Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe, has decided that 2006 Miss USA Tara Conner can keep her crown.

That decision is a disgrace!!! She should have lost her crown!

She knew how she was to act when she won the crown; and CHOSE not to follow the rules and regulations associated with her position.

She broke the law (drinking underage), acted innappropriately (supposedly kissing and acting up in public with Miss Teen USA) and having men in her condo that is supplied by the pageant organization.

She knew how she was to act, and was suppose to be a role model to women girls everywhere. Instead she acts like Paris Hilton, Brittany Spears, and any one of many trashy young women in the public eye and gets a free pass.

She stated she was going to rehab. All those “Hollywood” types get caught with their indiscretions and head for rehab.

I guess they figure that is an easy way to get out of their problems.

Trump should have been tougher and acted like a honorable man. I guess the phrase “You’re Fired” is just a line from a television show.

Rocky Steps and Geno's

Texas Truth was in Philadelphia recently.

I visited my two favorite places while in the City of Brotherly Love; the Rocky Steps and Geno's Cheesesteaks.

I had never been to the steps before, and even though it was raining and cold, people were still walking and running up the steps as Sly Stallone did in his Rocky movies.

I know you want to ask two questions. The answer to both of your questions is YES:

1. I did run the steps and do a victorious jump when getting to the top.

2. I did eat a cheesesteak at Geno's.

The stature of Rocky was there, at the bottom of the steps and off to the side. I got Geno, Joey Vento's son, to give me a new supply of pens. I love giving them out to my conservative friends who supported Joey in his " Speak English When Ordering" policy that got so much press this past summer.

Rice Students Upset About Kleenex

Students at Rice University have persuaded campus officials to quit buying Kleenex products in favor of products that include recycled material and exclude material from trees cut from North America's largest ancient forest — the Boreal forest that stretches from Alaska through Canada.

I guess these students have so much time on their hands that they can take time away from their studies to protest.

I wonder how long they would last in college if the people who are paying for their education took time out from their jobs to act in a similar manner.

Wait until they get out in the real world and find out this nonsense will affect their jobs.

Perhaps they can wipe their snottly little noses with the sleeve of their jackets.

You can view the article in the Houston Chronicle here.

I'M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

Due to issues with my original blog "Texas Truth," I was forced to delete the entire blog and start over with this new site.

Those issues were not with the postings and responses. It was a situation of another blogger who was using the name "Texas Truth" in blogs and websites associated to rap music.

As I always say, "To each his own," however I was getting posts related to the rap music community, and since that is not part of my blog, I just deleted the old Texas Truth blog and restarted this one.

You can expect my same views, opinions and "in your face" commentary as the old blog.
