I read this article in The Washington Post about President George W. Bush and his transition to life as a private citizen.
Read the article by clicking here. It is a very good read about how he views his days in the White House and how he spends his days now.
He stated he did not intend to criticize Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro, Oprah's Love Child, The Boy Wonder, BO, and The Big Zero). One thing that came to my mind was the fact that, as far back as I can remember, Republican Presidents have not criticized their democratic successors or subsequent democrat Presidents.
I cannot remember one case of Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan George H.W. Bush or George W. Bush having lashed out at a democrat residing in the White House.
On the other hand, I can recall many times that Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton lashed out at Republican Presidents.
George W. Bush shows a great deal of class in this article. I have stated before I did not agree with everything he did during his eight years in office. However on the whole, I think he did a good job as POTUS.
This is another case of Conservative Republican Presidents acting with class and show how they have more morals, more culture, and MORE CLASS than ANY democrat who ever held the office.
"Over the course of being president for eight years, you become, in some respects, immune to all the noise out there. He's secure in the place he's in. He's confident in the decisions he made. There's none of that 'Shoulda, woulda, coulda." - Dan Bartlett, a senior aide to Bush for more than a decade.

Bush Ducks Two Shoes Thrown By Journalist
Yesterday an irate journalist threw a shoe at President George W. Bush while at a press conference in Iraq. Below is the article from Politico.com . There is a video clip below the quote on the incident.Welcome to Baghdad. An Iraqi reporter set off pandemonium Sunday by hurling two shoes at President Bush during a news conference that was the centerpiece of his secret good-bye visit.
Bush was cool under fire and prevented an even bigger incident by waving off his lead Secret Service agent, who was prepared to extract him from the room.
Video shows the president's lead agent rushing to the podium, but the president immediately and subtly motions to him that it's OK. The agent backs off.
The president successfully ducked both throws. Photos show him with his head down near the top of the podium. The embarrassing incident marred a visit meant to show off the improved conditions since the troop "surge" dramatically reduced casualties to U.S. troops.
"This is a gift from the Iraqis. This is the farewell kiss, you dog," the journalist shouted (in Arabic), Steven Lee Myers of The New York Times reported in a pool report to the White House press corps.
Myers reported that the man threw the second shoe and added: "This is from the widows, the orphans and those who were killed in Iraq."
Myers wrote in his pool report: "The president's appearance was interrupted by a man, apparently a journalist, who leapt to his feet and threw his shoe at the president, who ducked and thus narrowly missed being struck. Chaos ensued. The [man] threw a second shoe, which also narrowly missed the president. The man was roughly 12 feet from the lectern in the center of two rows of chairs, about two feet from the pool. A scrum of security agents descended on the man and wrestled him, first to the floor and then out of the ornate room where the press conference was taking place. The president was at no point injured and he brushed off the incident."
"All I can report is it is a size 10," Bush quipped.
I know how President-elect Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro)would have handled this incident. He would have run for the protection of the Secret Service and afterwards claimed he came under fire in Iraq.
Thank goodness for GWB keeping his cool in reacting to this. My quote today will be his response to the incident:

Bush orders contractors to check legal status of employees
President Bush today signed an executive order requiring contractors and others who do business with the federal government to make sure their employees can legally work in the U.S.
This is a step in the right direction. Now let's see how many of the left wing wackos come out of the woodwork to condemn this move.
Read the article here.
"The men who do not become Americans and nothing else are hyphenated Americans; and there ought to be no room for them in this country. The man who calls himself an American citizen and who yet shows by his actions that he is primarily the citizen of a foreign land, plays a thoroughly mischievous part in the life of our body politic. He has no place here; and the sooner he returns to the land to which he feels his real heart-allegiance, the better it will be for every good American. There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else...." - Teddy Rooesvelt

Bush Disappointed Over Pre-War Intelligence
This past Tuesday, President George W. Bush expressed in unusually frank terms his disappointment over flawed pre-war intelligence and acknowledged his fears about leaving an unfinished war to a Democratic successor. You can read the article here.
I think this a man who is truly bothered by the outcome in Iraq. I have believed for sometime that many of the people who supported his decision to go into Iraq turned their back on him and openly attacked him. It is a fact that the pre-war intelligence WAS flawed, but many people (both Republicans and Democrats) along with many of world's leaders viewed the intelligence and supported him on the basis of that intelligence.
As I have stated many times, I do not agree with everything President Bush as done in office. His job is a tough one. I would not want it. Others do want the job (badly) and I cringe to think what will happen if Hillary Rodham Clinton or Barack Huessein Obama are elected. I am glad that he was our leader instead of Al Gore or John Kerry. With either of them in the White House, we might not have much of a country left today.
We will have destruction, terror and an Apocalypse the likes of which we have never seen.

God help us if either of these two gain the White House. God help us, because there be no one else who will.

7 Mexican-born Texas Death Row Inmates Lose Appeals
Seven Mexican-born inmates on Texas' death row lost their bids for appeal today before the U.S. Supreme Court, following the court's ruling last week that another Mexican-born inmate's case couldn't be reopened despite an order from President Bush.

If they want to spend their lives in jail rather than face the death penalty here for murder, they should have stayed home. These laws are not new. They have been on the books for years.
I say "Strap them to the gurney and put the needle in their arms." I have no sympathy for these pieces of trash. The world will be better when they are gone.

McCain: Bush Should Veto Torture Bill
Republican presidential candidate John McCain said President Bush should veto a measure that would bar the CIA from using waterboarding and other harsh interrogation methods on terror suspects.
McCain is well known for his opposition to waterboarding, but he doesn't want the CIA being bound by using only the 19 interrogation techniques listed in the Army field manual
I am glad to see this. I feel the CIA should have broad discretion when it comes to questioning terror suspects.
Personally, I could not care less about the rights of someone who is planning to terrorize the United States. The CIA should have the power to do whatever needs to be done to extract information to save American lives.
“When you put your hand into a bunch of goo that a moment before was your best friend's face, you'll know what to do.” - General George S. Patton, Jr. as portrayed by George C. Scott in the movie "Patton".

Bush: "McCain is a TRUE Conservative"
John McCain is a "true conservative," President Bush has stated. That is not good enough for me. I want a "TRUE 'true conservative.'" I do not want to be forced to vote for a "lesser of two evils."
I may have no choice not to vote for McCain if we are to keep Oprah's Love Child or SuperBitch out of the White House.
Things used to be so much simpler. I wish Mr. Peabody or Dr. Emmett Brown were around now.
Take me back to a time went conservative values were the norm of a good American society. Where the people we elected really had our best interests at heart. Take me back to a time when being outside the box was not viewed as the norm. I know I am dreaming. We will never go back to those times. Too much has happened and too many things have changed. Why is it that people call for change, but only when they are not the ones in power. Some change is good, but not always. Mr. Peabody and Doc Brown could help us now, but only if they were "TRUE CONSERVATIVES."

State of the Union Address 2008
President George W. Bush give what could be his final State of the Union address tonight. I say "could be" because, if he desires, could give another prior to leaving office on January 20, 2009.
I will be watching and will post my thoughts at a later time.
Take care and see you soon.

IEDs in the United States
I was visiting one of my favorite fellow bloggers, Texas Fred, this evening and came across an interesting post.
He writes about the Bush administration's concern for IEDs (improvised explosive devices) being used in the United States against American citizens. Click here to read his post on the subject. He makes some very interesting points and raises some important questions.
His writing and the accompanying comments did make me think. I cannot count the number of times since 9-11 I have pulled into the parking lot of my school and wondered how vulnerable it was to terrorism or a hostile action such as occurred at Columbine High School in 1999.
I am always watching whenever I am out and around, looking for anything out of the ordinary. It is not that I am paranoid but I have always been aware of my surroundings. IEDs are impossible to detect in America and it is only a matter of time until a terrorist detonated one domestically. Many more will follow the initial occurrence. That is a fact.
If Bush and his staff have a plan to deal with them, the troops in in Iraq would currently be using it. The only way I see to deal with domestic IEDs is to watch your surroundings, your back and to do the same for your loved ones.
We could round up and deport anyone whom we consider a threat. It is unfortunate that the liberal Democrats would not stand for that. They would have the ACLU all over everyone.

Carter Blasts Bush
Jimmy Carter blasted President George W. Bush and his administration as the “worst in history.”Carter has a great deal of room to talk. He was a one term President who had very little success during his Presidency.
He is just a bitter old man who has nothing better to do than try to keep his name in the public eye.
In fact, the comments came why he was promoting this new audiobook series “Sunday Morning in Plains,” which is a collection of weekly Bible lessons from his hometown of Plains Georgia.
This is from a man who has professed his Christian faith and values for many years.
I guess those values don’t include embracing your fellow man, unless of course than fellow man has exactly the same values as you.
He accomplished very little in his Presidency. As a result, he should keep his negative comments to himself. After all, he couldn’t even deal with the Iran Hostage Crisis.
Remember, his rescue efforts failed and left a good number of American dead. Saying the Bush administration is the worst in history is the pot calling the kettle black.

Charging for a Conference to Impeach Bush
Sometimes, when I have a few minutes, I check out the liberal websites and blogs to see what kind of trash they are putting out to the masses.
One site I frequent is the IndyMedia site in Houston. I can usually get a laugh and sometimes an idea for a post. This morning was no exception. They had a listing from the Houston Peace and Justice Center. I went to their site and found a another listing about a meeting in New York City.
In New York City, on February 17-18, there was an "Emergency Conference to Impeach Bush for War Crimes." What I can't figure out is why this posting would be on a Houston site? Did they really think someone would travel all the way from Houston to New York City to attend?
Here is the post. See if you can pick up some interesting things in it.
Sponsors of this event in New York City believe that it is time to put impeachment back on the table. Iraq spins out of control. Bush escalates plus threatens a still wider war with Iran. The Bush program of torture and illegal detentions continues. Bush's full domestic intelligence program remains in effect: NSA spying, the Patriot Act, the Military Commission Act. Workshops on state-by-state activities for impeachment; organizing labor unions; youth and student organizing; walk-outs, strikes, teach-ins. There'll be an all-afternoon intensive tutorial by experts on the crimes of the Bush administration. Co-sponsors are AfterDowningStreet.org, Progressive Democrats of America, and Green Party of the United States. Registration fee: $25-$50 per person, students/low income: $10-$20. For more information and to register, contact summit@worldcantwait.org or call 866-973-4463.
My questions are as follows:
1. How does one become an expert on the crimes of the Bush Administration?
2. How is it determined if someone is low income?
3. Why is there a sliding scale for payment: $25-$50 per person, $10-$20 for students/low income?
4. Why are they charging at all? If this is that important to them, they might get more supporters is they hosted the conference and let everyone in free.
5. Where was the money going/ If the conference was a sponsored event, it seems to be that the sponsors should take care of the cost.
6. Why was this meeting considered an "Emergency"?
I will never understand liberals. They live in their own little world.
