Jackie Broyles and Dunlap on Barack HUSSEIN Obama's big speech to Congress, and the reaction to Little Ol' Bobby Jindal's Republican response.
Jackie Broyles: "Yeah, I tell you what. I like that Little Ol' Bobby Jindal, yes sir. I say what, Little Ol' Bobby Jindal keeps talkin' like that, I tell you what, he's make one Hell of a President, yeah, come 2012, yes sir."
Dunlap: "Better than Sarah Palin?"
Jackie Broyles: He make one Hell of a Vice-President, yes sir.

Obama's Speech and His First 30 Days
The Current Temporary Resident of the White House is going into tonight's speech to Congress with the belief that HE (Little Barry Soetoro, BO, The Boy Wonder, Oprah's Love Child) has accomplished more in the first 30 days in office than any modern president.
Oh! HE's done more in the first 30 days than any President in modern times all right.
Let's see whay HE has done:
1) Tripled the deficit.
2) Gone back on his promise to pull the troops from Iraq - pesky detail, but he didn't seem to understand that the US and Iraq had an agreement in place in that regard.
3) Indicated there will be further bailouts likely to the tune of $3-4 trillion in total.
4) Promised to halve the deficit by the end of his four year term.
5) Angered tax paying, mortgage paying, hard working Americans by picking their pockets.
That's some change you can believe in, believe you me!!!
"President Obama has accomplished more in 30 days than any president in modern history." - A senior White House official said today in a background briefing.

Quote to Make One Think #2
This post will be my second in a series of quotes that I think currently applies to the situation in the United States. As before, please see if you can figure out who said it before you use Google it.
If you connect the quote and who said it to the current political, social, and economic happenings in the country today, it might make you think.
“The Liberal State is a mask behind which there is no face; it is a scaffolding behind which there is no building.”

Girl Scouts Robbed As They Sell Cookies Outside Store
Members of a Girl Scout Brownie troop and two adults were selling cookies outside a Walgreen’s drugstore in San Antonio Wednesday night when a man walked out of the store and grabbed a bag containing proceeds from the cookie sales.

What a piece of crap. This is symptomatic of the trash that comes out of society today. In my day, punishment for these trash like these would be a big ass kicking when they were found and then they would be turned over the the law.
The panty-waisted, tree hugging, dope smoking, pro choice loving, bleeding heart liberal democrats and their leadership that are temporarily in change are to blame for this. After all, isn't that what they did when President Bush was in office; Blame everything on him? Well, in my mind, turn about is fair play.
Anyone want to bet a dollar to a doughnut that the perp was a criminal alien? Either that or he needed the money to pay for his girl friend's pro-choice decision.

New York Post Issues Apology for Delonas Cartoon
The New York Post issued an apology moments ago for the Sean Delonas cartoon I have dubbed "Shot Monkey."
Here is the applogy as it appeared on their website:
"Wednesday's Page Six cartoon - caricaturing Monday's police shooting of a chimpanzee in Connecticut - has created considerable controversy.
It shows two police officers standing over the chimp's body: "They'll have to find someone else to write the next stimulus bill," one officer says.
It was meant to mock an ineptly written federal stimulus bill.
Period.
But it has been taken as something else - as a depiction of President Obama, as a thinly veiled expression of racism.
This most certainly was not its intent; to those who were offended by the image, we apologize.
However, there are some in the media and in public life who have had differences with The Post in the past - and they see the incident as an opportunity for payback.
To them, no apology is due.
Sometimes a cartoon is just a cartoon - even as the opportunists seek to make it something else."

Video Clip on Sean Delonas' "Shot Monkey" Cartoon
Here is a clip about outrage and defense of New York Post cartoonist Sean Delonas's cartoon about police shooting a monkey.

Sean Delonas' "Shot Monkey" Cartoon
Cartoonist Sean Delonas is stirring up more controversy and it deals with today's cartoon in the New York Post.
The New York Post drew accusations of racism for allowing Delonas' political cartoon that some have said compares President Barack Obama to a mad chimpanzee. The cartoon was playing off an incident involving a chimpanzee that severely mauled a woman and then was shot by police in Connecticut on Monday.
This was interesting for me because I was checking my blog hits this evening and I had an amazing 1800+ hits today.
I was wondering what I had wrote to create such a stampede to my blog. The results indicated that people were going to my posts on the Delonas cartoons I have published previously on my site.
The funny thing is that I had recently deleted said cartoons after reading that posting said cartoons may not be in proper use of said medium. (PS: I will attempt to reinstate said cartoons to their original place when I get time)
I have checked around and found that numerous web sources are posting the cartoon, so I assume my concerns about posting his cartoons were unfounded.
FYI: The cartoonist's website seandelonas.com is down today.
Delonas' cartoon is posted below. Please let me know what you think about it.
".....absolutely friggin' ridiculous. Do you really think I'm saying Obama should be shot? I didn't see that in the cartoon. It's about the economic stimulus bill. If you're going to make that about anybody, it would be [House Speaker Nancy] Pelosi, which it's not." - Sean Delonas

Obamas ACORN Thugs Mobilize for Civil Disobedience.
ACORN moves into civil disobedience by sending out “activist” to “homestead” or “squat” better known as refuse to move out of foreclosed homes.
Houston is considered a Tier 1 city with kick-off events will being scheduled for the 3rd week of February.
Dallas is a Tier 2 city, with ACORN conducting training and kick-offs in the weeks following the Tier 1 events.
These are the thug tactics in the war on capitalism brought to you by The Current Temporary Resident of the White House.
I am going to stay on top of this and possibly travel to Houston to see if I can "cover" one of these events for this blog.
Michelle Malkin's website has more.

Guatemala Apologizes to Cuba for Role in Bay of Pigs
Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom apologized to Cuba today for his country’s having allowed the CIA to train exiles in the Central American country for the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion.
He added that he wished to apologize “as president and head of state, and as commander in chief of the Guatemalan army.”
Does this seem like a big kiss-up to Cuba in order to gain favor with Raul Castro and embarrass the United States? It sure does to me. I wonder how long until the Current Temporary Resident of the White House follows suit. After all, he never has had an original thought.
"Today I want to ask Cuba’s forgiveness for having offered our country, our territory, to prepare an invasion of Cuba. It wasn’t us, but it was our territory." - Guatemalan President Alvaro Colom

Clinton Spins His Own Administration on Economic Crisis
My quote today for this post will be be basis for my post. Bill Clinton (aka Slick Willie) was asked in an NBC "Today" show interview his perspective on how the country fell into such economic hard times.
Willie Boy responded by asking rhetorically: "Did any of them seriously believe that if I had been president and my economic team had been in place the last eight years, that this would be taking place."
I am going to post that again so you can get the full impact of it.
"Did any of them seriously believe that if I had been president and my economic team had been in place the last eight years, that this would be taking place."
My answer is: HELL YES! IT WOULD BE WORSE!
Does Willie Boy think we are stupid?
My answer is the same as before: HELL YES!!!

Jane Fonda: Guilty of TREASON
An old skeleton has emerged from actress Jane Fonda's closet to remind us of her traitorous embrace of the North Vietnamese, which got her dubbed "Hanoi Jane." Docudrama Films is releasing on DVD a long-suppressed documentary called "FTA," (aka "Fuck the Army") which chronicles the anti-war shows Fonda staged in front of GIs.
The movie opened in theaters in 1972 the same week she flew to Hanoi and encouraged the Vietnamese communists to fight "American imperialists." It was yanked days later and withdrawn from circulation, and the late director Francine Parker blamed pressure from the Richard Nixon and the White House.
I have some major opinions about Jane Fonda and they are not positive. I had a mild "interaction" with the actress during high school. I cannot go into it in detail as it might compromise my identity. However, I can tell you I have first hand knowledge of the lunacy and hate she she spewed during the Vietnam War.
I have NEVER watched a movie she was in since then and to this day have a strong dislike for her and what she did against our troops in the 60s and 70s.
Below is the transcript of Jane Fonda's radio address which she had broadcast in North Vietnam. This transcription, dated August 22, 1972 was made from her Hotel Especen broadcast in Hanoi at 7:11 p.m. As you read, see if you do not get as angry as I did.
This is Jane Fonda. During my two week visit in the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, I've had the opportunity to visit a great many places and speak to a large number of people from all walks of life- workers, peasants, students, artists and dancers, historians, journalists, film actresses, soldiers, militia girls, members of the women's union, writers.
I visited the (Dam Xuac) agricultural coop, where the silk worms are also raised and thread is made. I visited a textile factory, a kindergarten in Hanoi. The beautiful Temple of Literature was where I saw traditional dances and heard songs of resistance. I also saw unforgettable ballet about the guerrillas training bees in the south to attack enemy soldiers. The bees were danced by women, and they did their job well.
In the shadow of the Temple of Literature I saw Vietnamese actors and actresses perform the second act of Arthur Miller's play All My Sons, and this was very moving to me- the fact that artists here are translating and performing American plays while US imperialists are bombing their country.
I cherish the memory of the blushing militia girls on the roof of their factory, encouraging one of their sisters as she sang a song praising the blue sky of Vietnam- these women, who are so gentle and poetic, whose voices are so beautiful, but who, when American planes are bombing their city, become such good fighters.
I cherish the way a farmer evacuated from Hanoi, without hesitation, offered me, an American, their best individual bomb shelter while US bombs fell near by. The daughter and I, in fact, shared the shelter wrapped in each others arms, cheek against cheek. It was on the road back from Nam Dinh, where I had witnessed the systematic destruction of civilian targets- schools, hospitals, pagodas, the factories, houses, and the dike system.
As I left the United States two weeks ago, Nixon was again telling the American people that he was winding down the war, but in the rubble- strewn streets of Nam Dinh, his words echoed with sinister (words indistinct) of a true killer. And like the young Vietnamese woman I held in my arms clinging to me tightly- and I pressed my cheek against hers- I thought, this is a war against Vietnam perhaps, but the tragedy is America's.
One thing that I have learned beyond a shadow of a doubt since I've been in this country is that Nixon will never be able to break the spirit of these people; he'll never be able to turn Vietnam, north and south, into a neo- colony of the United States by bombing, by invading, by attacking in any way. One has only to go into the countryside and listen to the peasants describe the lives they led before the revolution to understand why every bomb that is dropped only strengthens their determination to resist. I've spoken to many peasants who talked about the days when their parents had to sell themselves to landlords as virtually slaves, when there were very few schools and much illiteracy, inadequate medical care, when they were not masters of their own lives.
But now, despite the bombs, despite the crimes being created- being committed against them by Richard Nixon, these people own their own land, build their own schools- the children learning, literacy- illiteracy is being wiped out, there is no more prostitution as there was during the time when this was a French colony. In other words, the people have taken power into their own hands, and they are controlling their own lives.
And after 4,000 years of struggling against nature and foreign invaders- and the last 25 years, prior to the revolution, of struggling against French colonialism- I don't think that the people of Vietnam are about to compromise in any way, shape or form about the freedom and independence of their country, and I think Richard Nixon would do well to read Vietnamese history, particularly their poetry, and particularly the poetry written by Ho Chi Minh.

Fellow Blogger "Seaspook's Rants" is BACK!!!
I was surfing this morning, catching up on my reading and I stopped over at a fellow blogger's site: Seaspook's Rants.
He had not posted in over 10 months and I was wondering what had happened to him. Please stop by his blog and read his current post (dated February 14, 2009).
I think we all feel the same way and need to support bloggers whom have the same beliefs and views that we have. In these trying times, we all need to stick together.
I am glad to see him back posting. I really enjoy his writings.

Black Studies: A Feel Good, Do Nothing Degree!
The Houston Chronicle had an article today entitled "African-American studies expanding, But some say wider focus, however, obscures original social justice aim."
I wonder why this is even a story, but then I remember that is the published in "The Barnacle."
"African American Studies" Are there any "Irish American Studies"? How about some "Italian American Studies" ????Courses like this tend to exacerbate racial problems, not help. They tend to promote and perpetuate racial strife.
We are going to see more stories like this now that Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro, The Boy Wonder, Oprah's Love Child, and BO) is the Current Temporary Resident of the White House.
He is going to set racial practices back 200 years.
See that's whats wrong with these courses. There culmination of African History ends with a wanna be gang banger rapper. Why aren't the closing with Black men in congress or leaders within our country. They would rather idolize rappers who talk about guns and slanging rock, then the ones who worked their butts off and are trying to make a difference in our country. It all goes back to what they really want to see as history. You don't see textbooks talking about Garth Brooks or say Donald Trump. Yet they have Mos Def and probably some black athletes in there who are less then stellar role models in the first place." - Jay_Hill (a poster on the Houston Chronicle forums)

More Problems for the democrats
The pit gets deeper....The night gets darker....The true colors of democrats are showing.
Senator Roland Burris admitted in a document released Saturday that former Gov. Rod Blagojevich's brother asked him for campaign fundraising help before the governor appointed Burris to the Senate.
The disclosure is at odds with Burris' testimony in January when an Illinois House impeachment committee specifically asked if he had ever spoken to Robert Blagojevich or other aides to the now-deposed governor about the Senate seat vacated by Barack Obama.
"This wasn't a couple of questions that I can understand someone may forget, it goes way beyond that. To say that he wasn't given the opportunity to explain himself is a load of B.S." - Dick Durbin

Valentine's Day 2009
Today is Valentine's Day. My Lovely Bride and I are celebrating Valentine's Day a day late this year.
We are going to Houston, on Sunday (tomorrow) to see the Houston Aeros play hockey and eat pizza at Steel City Pizzeria. This is the type of Valentine's Day WE like. Enjoying each other’s company in an activity we both enjoy. HAPPY V-DAY TO EVERYONE (even if it is a day late).

Quote to Make One Think #1
Today's post will be a quote that I think currently applies to the situation in the United States. See if you can figure out who said it before you use Google it.
If you connect the quote and who said it to the current political , social, and economic happenings in the country today, it might make you think.
"Make the lie big, make it simple, keep saying it, and eventually they will believe it"

Teaching Crap?!?
Working is kicking my butt lately. TAKS preparation and crap for the administration is really taking it's toll. I wish the powers that be would let us just teach...teach what we know and how we know. After 32 years in the classroom, I am getting tired of all the bullshit.

Message From The Past
Some say a picture says a thousand words. I certainly think this one does and said words come from the past.
Look at the picture over Rahm Emanuel's left shoulder of President Abraham Lincoln. He seems to be watching the meeting.
I wonder if he is thinking "OH MY GOD, what has become of my country?"
For my quote of today, I will post a quote by President Abraham Lincoln. I think it is appropriate for the people shown meeting in this photo.
"It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to open one's mouth and remove all doubt." - Abraham Lincoln

More American Traditions TRASHED By Barack HUSSEIN Obama
Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro, The Boy Wonder, Oprah's Love Child, and BO) is trashing more traditions of the country that I love so much.
The Boy Wonder promised change and on his first morning as president he delivered. He appeared at the Resolute Desk in the Oval Office in his shirt sleeves.
The last eight years, President George W. Bush made it a standing order that he and his staff would always wear their suit jackets in the Oval Office.
"It's a huge honor to walk in the Oval Office. It's hard for me to describe what an honor it is," he would often say.
It is also a long-standing tradition that just before the chief executive enters a room for a speech, he is announced: "Ladies and Gentlemen – the President of the United States." This is the standard introduction spoken by a staff member of the White House Communications Agency.
However this morning when Oprah's Love Child entered the East Room to address an audience about the economy, there was no announcement. He just walked right in – announcing his own presence with a hearty "Hello, everybody – good to see ya."
These are two more reasons that I cannot stand BO in the White House. He has no respect for the traditions of the job. He has no respect for the traditions of MY country. He has no respect for the men who preceded him in the job.
If he wants to have a chance to lead this country and gain followers to his agenda, he had better learn that the majority of Americans want their President to be a leader, not some liberal college professor whom all the students like.
"When you start looking like Marines you'll start feeling like Marines and then, Goddamn it, you'll start acting like Marines. Platoon, ten-hut! Right face! Forward march!" - Gunnery Sergeant Thomas Highway as played by Clint Eastwood in the movie "Heartbreak Ridge"

Super Bowl Commercials 2009
Super Bowl Commercials 2009
Today is the Super Bowl. For 43 years the NFL has held the Super Bowl to determine the champion of the NFL.
The best part of the Super Bowl is the commercials. Companies spend millions of dollars to advertise their wares during the Super Bowl.
I will be live blogging during the Super Bowl to provide coverage of the commercials. As in the past, some will be good, some will be bad, and some will be great.
I did the same thing during the last two Super Bowls, so take care and enjoy the game.
BY THE WAY: GO STEELERS
