Gustav's Comin', Move Your Butt Girl

I wish I could put the music to "Eli's Coming" by Three Dog Night to these words. They fit perfectly.

I am not diminishing the treat of Hurricane Gustav. It could end up here in Texas. But sometimes a little bit of humor can ease the tension and the stress.

Gustav's comin'
Gustav's comin' (Gustav's a-comin')
Well you better move your butt, your loving butt
Gustav's a-comin' and the cards say... a big-ass storm!!!

Gustav's comin', move your butt, girl
Gustav's comin', move your butt, boy
Girl, Gustav's a-comin', you better move
Boy, Gustav's a-comin', you better move
Girl, Gustav's a-comin', you better move
Boy, Gustav's comin', move your butt, boy (move it)
You better, better move your butt
Gustav's comin', better run

Run but you'll never get away
No, you'll never get away
From the wind and the rain
Your'll run to Texas by the coast
Think about going somewhere else,
(we done want you here)

Gustav's a-comin' (they ran but we don't want them in Texas)
Gustav's a-comin' (they ran but we don't want them in Texas)
Gustav's a-comin' and he's comin' to git ya
(they ran but... they ran but...)
Get down on your knees
(they ran but they never got away)

"You need to be concerned and you need to get your butts moving and out of New Orleans right now. This is the storm of the century." - Ray Nagin (Mayor of New Orleans) in a press conference on August 30, 2008 concerning approaching Hurricane Gustav.

Okay, now every time the news reports something about Gustav, which is now 24/7, that song pops in my head.

I guess it could be worse, it is Three Dog Night.

nunoftheabove: Wouldn't it be nie if everyone could go through life with a soundtrack? Thanks for the comment. I wish I could get music to go with it for the blog.
