Censorship at the Houston Chronicle

This evening, I was reading a story on the Houston Chronicle website entitled "Race for Houston mayor starts early."

In the comments section a post as made StaciePVU wrote: "I'm vting(sic) for whoever wins the Democratic nomination. Any Democrat is better than a Republican."

I posted my comment as follows:

"I will be voting for anyone who will not be a lackey of Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro, The Boy Wonder, Oprah's Love Child and BO), will order HPD to arrest on sight any criminal alien, instruct HPD to shoot any criminals fleeing from the scene of a crime, and will force Drayton McLain to hire some quality baseball players."

PS: Drayton McLain is the owner of the Houston Astros.

My post was up for about 5 minutes and I had receive one "thumbs up" and five "thumbs down." I switched over to another article to read a post and came back in about one minute to see how the comment was being received and rated.

To my amazement, the comment had been deleted and all references to it purged from the website.

I half expected to have this comment removed, but not so quickly. I have been removed from their board previously under various other user names. I will have to be very careful not to offend any of the censors at the Chronicle.

I understand that this is THEIR site and they can delete any material that they choose, but that is censorship, pure and simple. I guess the forecast is correct that supporters of Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro, The Boy Wonder, Oprah's Love Child and BO) will go to any length to protect him, including the mainstream media

I remember when Houston had two newspapers. I faithfully read the Houston Post for years before it shut down publication on April 18, 1995. Since then we have had to deal with the "Houston Barnicle" for printed news out of Houston.

FINA (International Swimming Federation) and USA Swimming have announced laws which mean four-year bans for drug-taking, Phelps’ dreams of adding to his overall 14 gold medal tally at the 2012 games in London could already be OVER.

George Obama and The Boy Wonder have the same father, who died in a car crash in 1982.

Anyone want to bet a dollar to a doughnut that BO tries to get him off? After all, illegal drug useage runs in the Obama family's blood.

If this had been a Republican President, the liberal democrats would be yelling for impeachment.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama Is Being Played LIKE A FOOL

Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro, The Boy Wonder, Oprah's Love Child, and BO) is starting to show how much he does not know about the real world.

"US President Barack Obama's offer to talk to Iran shows that America's policy of "domination" has failed. This request means Western ideology has become passive, that capitalist thought and the system of domination have failed," siad Iranian spokesman Gholam Hossein Elham was quoted as saying by the Mehr news agency.

"Negotiation is secondary, the main issue is that there is no way but for (the United States) to change," he added.

After nearly three decades of severed ties, Obama said shortly after taking office this month that he is willing to extend a diplomatic hand to Tehran if the Islamic republic is ready to "unclench its fist".

In response, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad launched a fresh tirade against the United States, demanding an apology for its "crimes" against Iran and saying he expected "deep and fundamental" change from Obama.

BO is being played like a private school kid at a public school recess. He has no idea who he is dealing with. The enemies of our country view his open hand negotiation as a weakness to be exploited. That is why they hated George W. Bush. They knew he along with Ronald Reagan were not to be messed with.

The Boy Wonder had better get his act in gear and start acting Presidential. That does not mean the mamby-pamby, limp wristed style of which he is known.

He needs to stand up and ACT LIKE A MAN. After all, that is what Don Vito Corelone would say! The sad fact is the he probably does not know how too. Just take a look at how he was raised. There was never a strong All American-type father figure in his life.

Barack HUSSEIN Obama to Close Gitmo

Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro and The Boy Wonder) issued orders to close the Guantanamo Bay military prison that houses the plotters of the September 11 attacks. As a result there has been sparking outrage from families of World Trade Center victims.

Obama wants to shut the prison camp in Cuba within a year and require the closing of any remaining secret CIA "black site" prisons abroad. He has also banned harsh interrogation techniques, such as water boarding, that critics claim constitute torture.

"The terrorists are going to be cheering. It's the wrong move. It sends a chilling message to people who are trying to fight the war on terror. These people are trying to kill us. Down the road, [Obama] may regret doing this," said FDNY Fire Lt. Jim McAffrey, whose brother-in-law, FDNY Battalion Chief Orio Palmer, was killed at Ground Zero.

The Boy Wonder said he was certain the nation's security is strengthened when the United States adheres to "core standards of conduct." MY ASS!!!!!

We think that it is precisely our ideals that give us the strength and the
moral high ground to be able to effectively deal with the unthinking violence
that we see emanating from terrorist organizations around the world," he said. WHAT AN ASININE COMMENT!!!!!

Retired FDNY Deputy Chief Jim Riches - whose firefighter son, Jimmy, died in the trade center's north tower - said he had just visited Guantanamo, and the detainees "get better medical treatment than the veterans." YOU GOT THAT RIGHT!!!!!

This decision is another indicator that BHO's actions embrace a soft-on-terror agenda and shows his inexperience to our enemies. I expect to see many more of these limp-wrist decisions in the coming days and weeks.

On the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) website, Executive Director Brian Wolff has posted a letter to his membership encouraging them to sign a petition and add comments to be sent to Rush Limbaugh for his criticism of BO. Below it the posted letter:

Last week, Rush Limbaugh gave us a preview of the outrageous Republican attacks that are on the way against President Obama and every Democrat working for change. Rush actually said that he 'hopes' President Obama fails to meet America's challenges.

Pittsburgh Steelers -vs- Miami Dolphins 1973 Monday Night Football

The is the pre-game of the December 3, 1973 Monday Night Football contest between the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers. Howard Cosell made a big deal about Jefferson Street Joe Gilliam starting as quarterback due to injuries to Terry Bradshaw and Terry Hanratty.

I believe Frank Gifford misidentified who was singing the national anthem as Loretta Lynn (it's Lynn Anderson), there was a pregame prayer, and we got commercials for Schlitz Beer and The Dry Look. These were two of the greatest teams in NFL history. Miami won the game 30-26.

I have always been a Steelers fan. It would be great to see them win their sixth Super Bowl on February 1, 2009.

Two Ex-Gitmo Prisoners Appear in Al-Qaeda Video

Two men released from the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba have appeared in a video posted on a jihadist website, the SITE monitoring service reported.

One of the two former inmates, a Saudi man identified as Abu Sufyan al-Azdi al-Shahri, or prisoner number 372, has been elevated to the senior ranks of Al-Qaeda in Yemen, a US counter-terrorism official indicated.

Three other men appear in the video, including Abu al-Hareth Muhammad al-Oufi, identified as an Al-Qaeda field commander. SITE later said he was prisoner No. 333.

I wonder if this is a prequel of events to come under the leadership of Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro and The Boy Wonder).

Barack HUSSEIN Obama Weekly Address for 1/24/2009

In his first weekly address since being sworn in as the 44th president of the United States, President Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry, Soetoro, The Boy Wonder, and Oprah's Love Child) discussed how the American Recovery and Reinvestment Plan will jump-start the economy.

It is a nice speech about how the government will spend money; but I have some questions.

Mr. President, where is the money going to come from to pay for all of this?

If you borrow this money then when are the taxpayers going to pay for all of this and how much is it going to finally cost the taxpayer (including the compounded interest please)?

Mr. President, who will be responsible for managing the money? Also, does the responsible party have a certain political bent?

Ghetto Style Basketball At Its Best: Courtesy of the Houston Cougars & Aubrey Coleman

I just found this clip today while surfing for post and was sickened at what I witnessed. Yesterday in the match-up between the Houston Cougars and the Arizona Wildcats, my stomach literally churned when I saw this below video clip.

In the second half of a game that Houston was dominating, the Cougars' Aubrey Coleman was called for a charge after shoving Arizona's Chase Budinger to the floor while dribbling past the half-court line.

After the whistle, Coleman continued to walk forward and proceeded to intentionally stomp directly on the face of Budinger. It wasn't an accident; the video clearly shows Coleman walking straight over to Budinger and using force to plant his red and white Nike right into Budinger's craw.

As if that wasn't enough, Coleman then strolled away with a grin the Cheshire Cat would be envious of and received several accolades and high-fives from his teammates. Apparently, in Houston, you are to be congratulated for intentionally leaving an imprint of your shoe size on an opponent's face. Very classy, Cougars.
This incident is perhaps the most unsportsmanlike conduct I have ever witnessed on the court of a college basketball game.

Though Coleman was ejected for the "flagrant foul," that punishment is not nearly enough. He deserves a minimum ten-game suspension, but my recommendation is that his season ends today. The NCAA must send a clear, strong signal that this type of behavior will not be tolerated and will be met with the harshest of sanctions.
Houston's coach Tom Penders surely would take the time to apologize after the game, right? Not a chance.

Houston has a real punk-ass on their hands with Coleman. Trying to spin it any other way is ridiculous.

There are plenty of replays of this incident on the web, and if you study them you will see:

1. Coleman glances down to get his bearings.

2. Coleman didn't have to move at all, but he knew Budinger was laying there (he'd just knocked him down).

3. Coleman could have gone around Budinger.

4. Coleman takes 2 steps and the 2nd step is a little shorter in stride just so he can land on his target - Budinger's face.

5. Coleman had plenty of room to step completely over Budinger but does not.

Then after all is said and done:

1. Coleman doesn't look to see if Budinger hurt the guy.

2. Coleman does not apologize to Budinger.

3. Coleman is seen laughing and high-fiving with his buddies.

This guy went to Gulf Shores Academy in Houston. That is the same school where Gerald Green (Boston Celtics) attended. It was a charter school which was nothing more than a "institute" for hard core discipline cases to get their high school diploma while basically playing semi pro-basketball and occasionally going to a meetings they called "classes". The school has since shut down and has been investigated by the State Board of Education for fraudulent practices.

He spend time at Southwest Mississippi College. I would guess he went the junior college route because his grades (and possibly behavior) was not something an NCAA Division 1 school wanted to mess with.

Obama Snubs Vets, Skips Heroes Ball

Since its inception in 1953, every new president has attended The Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball – until now.

The ball was created for President Dwight Eisenhower's inauguration to honor recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation's highest military award. The event is sponsored by the American Legion and co-sponsored by 13 other veteran's service organizations, including the Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Military Order of the Purple Heart.

And while 48 of the nation's 99 living recipients of the Medal of Honor attended the event, reports the Cleveland Leader and various self-attested attendees of the ball, newly sworn-in President Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro and The Boy Wonder) became the first president in 56 years to skip out on the ceremony.

This does not surprise me. BHO has no respect or an appreciation for the military. After all, how could he? He never had the GUTS, DESIRE or BALLS to put on a uniform, pick up a weapon and defend this country. How on God's Green Earth can he ever be expected to give orders to the military with his limp-wrist?

Hutchison Meets Campaign Supporters in Austin

United States Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison met with some 300 supporters at a private strategy session Saturday for her 2010 run for Texas governor against incumbent Rick Perry, a fellow Republican who courted anti-abortion activists a few blocks away.

Hutchison stated some of her agenda is to improve Texas’ public and higher education and access to health care. She also wants to ensure that toll roads are built only with local approval, or as new lanes if they are constructed along existing highways.

I do not know how to take this. YES, she is a Republican, but I do not know how just conservative she is. After all, she did vote to kill the border fence bill this past year. I am going to keep my eye on this former cheerleader from LaMarque.

Her ranking by the On The Issues website lists her as a Hard-Core Conservative. In any case, she will be better than current Texas Governor Rick Perry (aka Zoolander).

Barach HUSSEIN Obama's Suit-Maker Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

The Chicago-based company that makes suits preferred by Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro and The Boy Wonder) has filed for bankruptcy.

Hartmarx Corperation and its U.S. subsidiaries filed for Chapter 11 protection Friday. The company says its Canadian and other non-U.S. affiliates have not sought bankruptcy protection.

Hartmarx makes business, casual and golf apparel under its own brands, including Hart Schaffner Marx.

I wonder if they will apply for some of the economic stimulus package the their most famous customer is handing out.

Train Strikes Girl Playing On Tracks In Channelview, Texas

Below is an article from the Houston Chronicle on January 23, 2009 posted at 11:52pm.

As you read it and absorb what happened, a few things come to mind.

1. Where were the parents when this happened?

2. Why was a 10-year-old playing by the tracks?

3. Tragedy does not know race, creed or gender.

4. This is another case of a senseless tragedy that could have been prevented.

5. The reaction of the parents was, at least in my mind, strange.

6. This accident could have been prevented.

I feel for the child, her parents, and all involved, but this did not have to happen. It really makes me mad when things like this happen. Many things could have been done to prevent this, and none of them were the responsibility of the railroad.

I am going to keep up on this story. I would not be surprised to see a lawsuit in the future by some money-grubbing lawyer.

John Kinney had just pulled into his driveway Friday night when he spotted a group of children running pell-mell from the direction of the train tracks that cut east to west behind his neighborhood. They were screaming.

Seconds later, the 51-year-old Channelview resident saw a man and woman racing back toward the tracks. He took off after them.

A 10-year-old girl was lying on the ground, bright red blood staining her white pants, Kinney said. Her left leg had been completely severed from her body, near the knee. Her other leg was a mangled mess.

Dazed and pale, the girl kept apologizing for getting sand on her clothes, Kinney said. “She was worried she’d ruined them,” he said. “She didn’t realize what had happened.”

The girl and her friends had been playing on the tracks near the 330 block of Brookview about 5:45 p.m. when a Union Pacific freight train ran over her legs, Harris County sheriff’s Lt. John Legg said.

The two-man crew in the locomotive never saw her, said Union Pacific spokeswoman Raquel Espinoza-Williams. It wasn’t until sheriff’s deputies contacted the railroad about 10 minutes later that the 52-car train even came to a stop.

Kinney, who volunteers for the Community Emergency Response Team at the Anheuser-Busch brewery where he works, snapped into action.

He used an extension cord the girl’s father gave him as a tourniquet, tying it tightly around her legs to staunch the bleeding.

The girl’s parents prayed in Spanish as they waited for an ambulance. When the girl’s father began to weep, Kinney urged him to stay calm so she wouldn’t be frightened.

“I said, ‘Let’s be strong; we gotta be strong,’ ” Kinney said.

Even though the father didn’t speak much English, he seemed to understand. He and Kinney asked the girl questions about school to distract her.

It wasn’t until paramedics arrived and lifted the girl onto a stretcher that she started to cry.

‘That’s when I figure it hit her,” Kinney said.

Paramedics administered QuickClot, a hemostatic agent that rapidly stops severe bleeding, until a helicopter took the girl to Memorial Hermann-The Texas Medical Center. Paramedics packed her left leg in ice and sent it with her to the hospital. She was listed in critical condition late Friday.

A group of five children, ages 9 to 11, apparently had been playing a game on the tracks, said Legg, the sheriff’s spokesman. The children would stand on the tracks; wait for the trains to come by; and grab the side of the train, dragging their feet behind them.

A few of the children, including the girl, had successfully ridden a train earlier in the evening, but the second time, the girl’s leg slipped and was caught beneath the train, Legg said. The speed limit on the track is 10 mph.

The railroad’s emergency dispatch center received a call from the Sheriff’s Office about the accident at 5:57 p.m., said Espinoza-Williams, the railroad’s spokeswoman. Dispatch contacted a train yard in Baytown, and officials there called the train’s engineer and conductor, she said. The train stopped in the Highlands, where the crew was met by investigators from the Sheriff’s Office.

Union Pacific is also conducting its own investigation, Espinoza-Williams said.

“This is devastating for our crew,” she said. “They have families and children. This affects them deeply.”

In 2007, 39 children across the United States 15 and under were killed in accidents involving trains, according to Safe Kids USA. About 180 were injured.

“I can’t stress enough how important it is for everyone to stay off the railroad tracks and away from the trains,” Espinoza-Williams said.

When the chaos was finally over Friday, Kinney got down on his knees and recited the Lord’s Prayer. Then he went home and washed the blood from his hands.

“I knew I’d done all I could do,” he said. “I just hope this little girl makes it.”

Cornyn Takes on Obama and His Administration

Texas Senator John Cornyn is leading an early charge against President Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro and The Boy Wonder), seeking to blunt the new administration’s momentum in Congress while lighting the way for a GOP comeback in the next election.

The conservative Republican, the new head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee, delayed Senate confirmation proceedings for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Attorney General-designate Eric Holder. He challenged Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and he orchestrated a GOP plan that blocked Democrat Al Franken — embroiled in a contested race with Sen. Norm Coleman of Minnesota — from taking a Senate seat.

I say:

"GO FOR IT JOHN. GIVE THE DEMOCRATS BACK WHAT THEY GAVE THE CONSERVATIVE REPUBLICANS FOR THE PAST EIGHT YEARS!"

Many people do not like Cornyn, but anyone who stands up to this administration instead of rolling over and playing dead like so many of the RINOs are doing is okay in my book. I have two autographed photos of Cornyn up in my classroom. One is personalized to me and the other is to the Young Republicans Club at my school.

Today: America Goes Ghetto

Today's quote will precede the post today so you can see why the today's title is applicable. This is what the 44th President of the United States thinks about the music that is hurting America.

Today, the United States starts a new order. I am coming to think of it as the 21st century depression. Depression of the economy. Depression of the conservative masses. Depression of the values that make this country great.

I guess I could call it "America Goes Ghetto."

Many have expressed a desire to see Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro) succeed in the White House. I am not one of them.

His goals and desires will lead this country down a path from which we may not ever recover from; or at least not recover from in MY lifetime.

The change I want to see The Boy Wonder achieve a change from the destructive journey he is going to embark us on.

Today is indeed a historic day. It is the day that we are going quietly into the night with a clear light in which to guide us. BHO has stated all the things he wants to do and many people have followed him blindly. The thing hat bothers me is that he has not once stated HOW he is going to accomplish any of this.

This country is going to go ghetto. The lifestyle and the politics of the ghetto will become the norm in Washington. The economic policies of this administration will certainly send many more to the ghetto that were previously entrenched in that mini-society.

Let me be clear. I do not have anything personal against the President. I believe he thinks his vision for America is the correct way to go. The simple truth is that I for one, do not think his vision is where this county should be headed.

Today many will celebrate BHO's inauguration. That is fine. Everybody deserves to celebrate when they win. However, once the party is over and the cold hard facts of the Obama Presidency become evident; many will realize that things just got a great deal worse.

And this "party" will continue for the next four years.

Houston's Martin Luther King Day Parade

Today, I was in Houston for a short trip and found out the Martin Luther King Day Parade was on tap. It began in front of Minute Maid Park (Home of the Houston Astros). I was downtown to shoot some pictures of the baseball park and stumbled upon the parade.

Since I was already there, I walked around and took some pictures. I was amazed at all the people wearing Barack HUSSEIN Obama (aka Little Barry Soetoro) shirts. Below is a selection of the photos. It was so easy getting the shots. I just pointed the camera in their direction and they posed.

The funny thing is that I cannot remember that many people wearing Ronald Reagan, George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush, or even Bill Clinton shirts when THEY were elected POTUS.

I will let the photos stand without comment on their own merit. However, when I think a comment is appropriate, I had added one.

I will also post more photos later in the week as I downlaod more of them.

Barnard in the advertising trade journal Printers' Ink, promoting the use of images in advertisements that appeared on the sides of streetcars. The December 8, 1921 issue carries an ad entitled, "One Look is Worth A Thousand Words."















This guy MUST be an entrepreneur, as he was making money off the President-Elect.
