Pittsburgh Steelers -vs- Miami Dolphins 1973 Monday Night Football

The is the pre-game of the December 3, 1973 Monday Night Football contest between the Miami Dolphins and Pittsburgh Steelers. Howard Cosell made a big deal about Jefferson Street Joe Gilliam starting as quarterback due to injuries to Terry Bradshaw and Terry Hanratty.

I believe Frank Gifford misidentified who was singing the national anthem as Loretta Lynn (it's Lynn Anderson), there was a pregame prayer, and we got commercials for Schlitz Beer and The Dry Look. These were two of the greatest teams in NFL history. Miami won the game 30-26.

I have always been a Steelers fan. It would be great to see them win their sixth Super Bowl on February 1, 2009.

GO STEELERS!!!

"You've got to stand up and do your own battles. My daddy taught me that a long time ago, that you fight your own battles. The only way to shut everybody up is to win." - Terry Bradshaw
