UN Chief Call For "Global Leadership"

UN chief Ban Ki-moon of South Korea stated on Tuesday the need for "global leadership" as he pressed world leaders not to pursue narrow national interests in the face of hard economic times.

"I see a danger of nations looking more inward, rather than toward a shared future," he said at the opening of the UN General Assembly's annual debate.
He spoke of a "challenge of global leadership" to tackle the world's worsening financial, energy and food crises.

Ban told more than 120 heads of state or government, including Presidents George W. Bush of the United States and Nicolas Sarkozy of France.

"We see new centers of power and leadership -- in Asia, Latin America and across the newly developed world."

I do not have problem with this as long as WE (the USA) has the leadership. When I say leadership, I mean the CONSERVATIVE LEADERSHIP. I do not what Barack HUSSEIN Obama telling us and the rest of the world how it needs to be.

The best way to kill the UN is to stay in and use our veto power while simultaneously setting up a parallel organization, for democracies, to replace it.

Without our veto power, the United Nations Security Council could vote to attack us to try to install a global leadership. As it stands now we can maintain our sovereignty.

Getting the United States out of the UN is a good idea but it has to be done the right way.

"You can safely appeal to the United Nations in the comfortable certainty that it will let you down." - Conor Cruise O'Brien

I agree that the US should get out of the UN. The only problem is that the rest of the world will use UN sanctions to legitimize attacks on the US. They have failed to confront Iraq, Iran, Libya, Syria, etc., but they will unite to take the evil Satan, America. The UN is nothing more than a glorified debating society with no courage.
