The Last Starfighter

My Lovely Bride used to show "The Last Starfighter" movie to her junior school classes years ago before administrators begin interfering in classroom lessons.

She would use this movie to show the students about doing the right thing, becoming good at something, and having to courage to take a stand when one needs to.

It is not a great movie, but it is a good movie. I especially like Robert Preston as "Centauri." He was truly a great actor and always played any part he took to the hilt.

Watch it if you ever get a chance. It is a good movie to escape for a few hours from the pressures of everyday life.

Below is the trailer from the movie.

"Centauri: [voice in video game] Greetings, Starfighter. You have been recruited by the Star League to defend the frontier against Xur and the Ko-Dan armada."

Nice post. I wish that administrators would run the building and leave us alone to teach. But then, they would feel useless. Go with the feeling boys and girls.

Law and Order Teacher: When one becomes an administartor (or a "suit" as we call them in my school) they forget what it was like to be in the classroom. I receive by administrative degree and certificate in 1983 and NEVER went into the job. I think I was better off in the long run with that decision.
