"Lean On Me" Joe Clark Speech

Joe Clark was labeled by some, as a tyrant, but I feel he had the guts to do what needed to be done.

This is a clip from the movie "Lean On Me" in which he answered questions on why he threw students out of school.

Oh for the days we could do that. It might make a large difference in our schools today.

Sit back and enjoy!!!

"And that's why I threw those bastards out and that's all I gonna say" - Joe Clark, as played by Morgan Freeman in "Lean On Me"

I've never seen that movie. He sounds like my kind of principal. I would follow that guy to the end of the earth. Too bad most admin people are gutless politicians not educators. I think education should be fearless. We should teach our students what they need to know to succeed, regardless of political correctness. Those who don't get with the program, as Clark said "Throw the bastards out." Great post TT.
