A Texas woman who said she was forced to remove a nipple ring with pliers in order to board an airplane called Thursday for an apology by federal security agents and a civil rights investigation.
"I wouldn't wish this experience upon anyone," Mandi Hamlin said at a news conference. "My experience with TSA was a nightmare I had to endure. No one deserves to be treated this way."
Hamlin, 37, said she was trying to board a flight from Lubbock to Dallas on Feb. 24 when she was scanned by a Transportation Security Administration agent after passing through a larger metal detector without problems.

HEY.....MANDI HAMLIN.....ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!!
Get them damn nipple rings out before you board an airplane. What makes you think you have the right to board a plane with medal on (or in) your body. I certainly would not be allowed to board.
Everything in life is about "attitude." This woman should have used her head when she was dressing for the flight. Why would a 37-year-old woman want to have her nipple's pierced? That is just CRAZY!!!
How can she thing she as a civil rights complaint? I didn't know nipple piercings were a civil right.
HEY.....MANDI HAMLIN.....YOU ARE AN IDIOT!!!!!

I just saw the woman on Fox News. Her travail has resulted in a new TSA policy. Thankfully, the wearers of nipple rings are added to the long list of victims in America. What has become of America?
Law and Order Teacher: Hell, if she wants anything else pierced, I have a nice awl and hammer in the garage.
