I remember when George C. Scott won the Academy Award for Best Actor for "Patton." He refused to accept the award and send, if my memory serves me, an American Indian woman to pick it up.
His portrayal of Patton was one of the greatest of his career. Below is his speech to his troops that was the opening scene of the movie.
It was in reality, a combination of various speeches he had given over the years.
